The Lagos State branch of the Buhari Youth Organization (BYO) says it is deeply disappointed by Senator Elisha Abbo (PDP-Adamawa North) for her alleged assault on a young woman.
The group revealed this in a statement signed jointly by its state coordinator, Mr. Abdulwaheed Odunuga, and its secretary, Mr. Adekunle Aderibigbe, Wednesday in Lagos.
He also expressed his displeasure with the lawmaker’s reaction to the issue.
âThe assault being an embarrassment for humanity not to respect morals, Abbo should be investigated.

“If he were to be spared, then he would have set a bad precedent for the current leaders of #NotTooYoungToLead and those who propose it,” the group said.
Youth leaders have warned against excessive use of legislative ascendency to address the concerns and personal dealings of lawmakers and other public officials.
âThe misuse of the public service needs to be addressed with this issue to set the tone for others.
“Those entrusted with public office should always remember that they were elected or appointed there to serve and not to use power to intimidate us,” he added.
The group urged public officials to always behave.
Recall that the Senate set up on Wednesday an ad hoc bipartite commission headed by Senator Sam Egwu, to investigate the alleged assault of the breastfeeding mother by Abbo.
