Emirates News Agency – Abu Dhabi Youth Council and Abu Dhabi Presidential Court Majalis launch joint initiative

ABU DHABI, 19th July, 2022 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Youth Council, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Majalis of the Presidential Court, has launched the “One Hour with Youth” initiative, to enhance communication with young people in the emirate, by organizing regular meetings at the youth councils in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra.

The initiative also aims to discover young talent, hosting young people who have demonstrated outstanding abilities in areas such as digital media, agriculture, volunteering, entrepreneurship and industry, and showcasing their experiences and projects with other young people.

The initiative is an opportunity for young people to share their ideas with the Abu Dhabi Youth Council and its Youth Councils in Al Ain and Al Dhafra. The council is keen to meet young people from youth councils across the emirate’s regions, hear their views and support them.

The first sessions of the initiative coincided with the Rabdan Council’s Global Youth Skills Day, organized under the theme “Talented Youth in Digital Media”, and presented by several journalists, including Saif Al Zahab, Azara Al Serkal and Reham Badr.

Al Serkal, who is the first content creator on energy and sustainability in the Middle East, highlights national initiatives related to solar energy and sustainability, while Al Zahab is a student of media communication , recognized as a social media influencer by the Dubai Press Club, which reports on the achievements of the UAE. Meanwhile, Reham, a graduate of Dubai’s New Media Academy, is a content creator who has worked with several entities on developing content to post on the social media platform.

In the second session of the initiative, the Al Dhafra youth council will host several young talents in the field of entrepreneurship, while the third session will be organized in the Al Ain youth council with specialized young talents in finance.

The Abu Dhabi Youth Council and Majalis Abu Dhabi have called on young people to follow them on social media at @MajalisAbuDhabi, for announcements related to the sessions.
