“This is the 3rd edition of the competition and we are gradually improving both in terms of organization and the number of participating teams.

“Hosting the Unity Cup is part of our mandate as a council to support the development of grassroots football in the FCT. We also take the welfare of our members seriously as we go along,” a- he declared.

Coach Owojori called for sponsors to allow the board to increase the number of participating teams and warned players and officials to abide by the rules.

“Yes, we need sponsors. Sponsors and the media are key elements behind this competition and we believe that if we have sponsors we will increase the number of participating teams to accommodate more.
