Periye case wives accused of getting jobs against rules: Youth Congress

Youth Congress workers staged a protest outside Kanhangad District Hospital on Saturday, alleging that temporary jobs had been provided at the hospital for the wives of three defendants in the Periye twins murder case.

Youth Congress leader Pradeep Kumar said the hospital, which falls under the district panchayat, had temporarily named the wives of three people who were allegedly involved in the killing of Youth Congress activists Kripesh and Sarath Lal to Periye in 2019. He said the appointments, for a period of six months, were made for the post of sweeper.

Investigation Wanted

“The clandestine appointments of Manju, wife of the first defendant Peethambaran, Shruthi, wife of the second defendant Surendran, and Baby, wife of another defendant Suresh, were made last month in complete violation of rules and regulations,” it said. -he declares. Sathyanarayanan, father of Sarath Lal, said he was not surprised by the nominations. “The government should have supported the families of the victims and provided them with jobs,” he said.
