Sabah Youth Council Organizes Friendly Match Against Sabah Journalists Association

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Youth Council (MBS) recently organized a friendly futsal match against the Sabah Journalists Association (SJA) in line with its aim to reach out to different communities in the state. MBS Chairman Abqaree Fawwaz Abekan said the friendly game was also aimed at strengthening the partnership between the board and members of the media. match, held here at Borneo Sports Arena (BSA), Kolombong. He said MBS will continue to advocate the needs and wants of communities to government.

“Sometimes certain communities may not be able to express their aspirations and wishes (to the government). “Therefore, MBS will have to act and help these communities, especially those involving young people,” he added. The friendly match was divided into two parts, one for men and one for women. It featured MBS players and journalists from various organizations.

“We hope that we can continue this partnership (with SJA). Maybe next time we can have a friendly football match,” Abqaree said. Separately, he revealed that MBS will hold the MBS President Cup 2022 from October 1 to 2. The competition, which celebrates its ninth edition this year, will be held at Arena Futsal, Yayasan Sabah.
